Blood donation program foR Hunter’s Lodge no. 156 A.f. & A.M.
purpose
We utilize the blood donation program to contribute blood products to individuals within the community through local blood service organizations, such as the American Red Cross. These blood products support lifesaving care for individuals with traumatic injuries, surgeries, and chronic diseases. We challenge our membership to actively participate in donor recruitment, blood donation, or any other activity which promotes other subordinate lodge blood donation programs or local blood service organizations.
The grand lodge requires each subordinate lodge to advocate for individual contributions of blood products to local blood service organizations through a blood donation program. The grand lodge recognizes superior subordinate lodges with outstanding participation and contribution by the Seymour Jones Levy Award. This award requires each subordinate lodge to meet a minimum blood donation requirement each calendar year.
We kindly invite our membership, family, friends, and associates to contribute blood products or recruit individuals to actively participate in our blood donation program! If we regularly contribute blood products, then it will have a profound impact on our community!

Follow the instructions below to participate in our blood donation program as a member of the masonic lodge, family member, friend, or associate.

Search Blood Donor on the App Store via Apple or on the Google Play store via Google.
Download the Blood Donor American Red Cross App.
Open the Blood Donor App via your smartphone home screen.
Create an Account
Click on the “Create Account” button.
Enter personal information (such as email address, first and last name, date of birth, and zip code of primary residence) and click on the “Continue” button.
Create a username and password for your account and click on the “Continue” button.
Join the Team
Click on the “Impact” tab at the bottom-right corner of the App.
Click on the “Create or Join a Team” button.
Enter “Hunters Masonic Lodge” in the search bar at the top of the App.
Click on the “Hunters Masonic Lodge” button.
Click on the “Join” button.
Schedule an Appointment
Click on the “Schedule New Appointment” button.
Click on the “Next 14 Days” day button.
Click on the appropriate time window button (“Anytime”, “Morning”, “Afternoon”, or “Evening”).
Click on the “Blood” donation type button.
Click on the appropriate location button (“Current location”, “Another location”, “Home Location”).
Select a convenient date and donation center, and click on the appropriate button. Select a convenient appointment time and click the approrpiate button.
Click on the “Confirm” button.

If you are not able to contribute blood due to medical diagnoses, medication, or other existing non-qualifying conditions, then visit our charity page for the American Heart Association and contribute to our campaign to combat heart disease and stroke!
If you cannot contribute blood to support lifesaving care for traumatic injuries, surgeries, and chronic illnesses, then contribute to the organ which most needs it - the heart!

The nearest American Red Cross blood donation center to our Masonic Lodge is the New River Valley Blood Donation Center at 250 South Main Street, Blacksburg, VA 24060. The blood donation center is open and available by appointment on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday each week of the calendar year, excluding national holidays.
